Areas of Ministry
If you’re passionate about saving and transforming lives, we have a place for you. Whether you’re an individual, part of a small group, or representing a church, there are many ways to serve. From working directly with clients to assisting with special events or using your unique gifts in other ways, we’ll help you find the right fit. Client Advocate
The role of the advocate is to provide options counseling to clients. Advocates provide counsel in the areas of abortion procedures & risks, adoption education, fetal development, healthy relationships, and parenting. Training is provided. Counseling experience preferred. Background check required.
Mentor
The role of the mentor is to provide one on one counsel, guidance, encouragement, and discipleship to mentees. Ongoing training and support are provided. Background check required.
Earn While You Learn Mentor
The role of the EWYL mentor is to support expecting and parenting clients as they grow in confidence, knowledge, and stability. The EWYL mentor walks alongside clients, meeting one on one using a structured curriculum to teach practical life, pregnancy, and parenting skills while building a relationship grounded in trust and encouragement. Training and ongoing support are provided. Background check required.
Fatherhood Mentor
The role of the fatherhood mentor is to invest in expectant and new fathers by offering guidance, education, and consistent support as they navigate pregnancy and early parenting. The fatherhood mentor helps build confidence, develop healthy fathering skills, and strengthen their relationships with partners and children. Ongoing training and support are provided. Background check required.
Church Liaison
The role of the church liaison is to educate and notify their congregation about the needs of the center, upcoming events, and any other pertinent information. Volunteers must sign up for newsletters and weekly prayer requests.
Prayer Team
The role of the prayer team is to continuously pray for PCC staff, board, volunteers, and clients. Tuesdays are designated as prayer and fasting for PCC.
Restored Hearts Grief Care Volunteer
The grief care volunteer provides confidential and non-judgmental support to individuals healing from pregnancy loss, whether through miscarriage, stillbirth, or abortion. The grief care volunteer provides a listening ear, emotional encouragement, and guidance through a structured healing process while creating a safe space for clients to share their experiences. Ongoing training and support provided. Background check required.
Life Skills Coach
This is a one-time commitment to come in and share your area of expertise within our Glowing & Growing Mom Connect. Topics can include budgeting, how to prepare a meal, arts/crafts, interviewing skills, mental health, self-care, etc.
Board of Directors
The board of directors provides overall leadership, governance, and strategic oversight to ensure the ministry fulfills its mission with integrity, effectiveness, and long-term sustainability. The board of directors serves as ambassadors for PCC supporting fundraising efforts through networking, personal giving, and donor cultivation. The board of directors ensures that the executive director has the resources to fulfill the mission.
Medical Volunteers
The role of nurses, nurse practitioners, sonographers, or physicians is to provide compassionate, professional, and high-quality medical services to clients. Medical volunteers work under the supervision of a Medical Director. Ongoing support and training provided. Background check required and medical license must be in good standing.
Virtual EWYL Lesson Coordinator
This role ensures that clients receive the education they need to grow in confidence, understand their pregnancy, develop parenting skills and build a strong foundation for their families. By providing virtual lessons, the coordinator helps extend the centers’ care beyond in person visits and supports client’s success throughout the program.
2-4 hours weekly.
Boutique Assistant
This role supports the boutique by assisting clients, organizing inventory, and maintaining an orderly shopping environment. Must be able to stand, sort, and lift items as needed. 2 hours weekly
Interpreter
Provides accurate, confidential interpretation during client appointments so clients can understand services, options, and education information in their preferred language.
Development Support Person
Assists the center’s development team by supporting fundraising, donor communication and event preparation to help sustain the center’s mission. The responsibilities will include writing thank you notes and maintaining donor records.
Receptionist
The role of the volunteer receptionist is to create a welcoming first impression for clients by greeting visitors, answering phones, and supporting front desk operations with warmth, professionalism, and confidence. 4 hours weekly
Volunteer on At Need basis
There are times during the year when volunteers are needed for several reasons:
- Help with fundraisers/development
- Lawncare
- Sorting baby items when large donations are received
- Cleaning the facility
- Coordinating baby showers to benefit PCC
